Guide to Monster Hunter World Iceborne Decoration Farming

With good decorations, you can put together an effective end-game build. How to farm decorations quickly and efficiently is a common question.

The Monster Hunter World game offers three kinds of decorations: small, medium, and large. Small items included vitality, attack boost, and critical eye. Medium items included weakness exploits, critical boosts, and maximum might. Large items included free elements/ammo up and handicrafts.

You will still want the old decorations maxed out in Iceborne since there is still a slot for them.

In this guide, we’ll explain how to unlock decorations in Iceborne.

Research

Iceborne seems to be a bit more generous when it comes to giving out decorations for materials. There is no official drop rate percentage for decorations, but you are usually awarded one after completing an investigation.

It is not the most optimal way to farm decorations, but investigations and event quests tend to grant decorations upon completion.

Elder Melder

You can now roll Warped Streamstones at the Elder Melder if you have enough high commendations and research points.

You can also earn Streamstones with Soul Streams I and II. They are crazy expensive and will take up a lot of resources. The new level 4 decorations are ancient feystones and carved feystones. It’s best to concentrate on Soul Stream II.

Monsters of Master Rank

You can unlock these new decorations by playing master rank tempered monsters. Just like before, master rank offers tempered quests. You can get up to four or five rewards, so keep an eye out for good resource centers that grant lots of rewards.

Streamstones can be turned in at the Elder Melder. High rank quests give more streamstones. You can also receive old high rank decorations from master rank quests, like ancient feystones and carved feystones.

While the Guiding Lands can give decorations, it isn’t as efficient as Tempered Investigations for feystones.

One way to farm decorations in Monster Hunter World Iceborne is to look at your charms, which can make up for a lack of decorations. Vitality, Weakness Exploit, Critical Eye, Critical Boost, Handicraft, and Free Element/Ammo Up charms are the most important charms. Identify what you want to build and focus on the materials you need.
