Blizzard has unveiled Ramattra, the leader of Null Sector. In the Overwatch blog announcing his reveal, Ramattra says he no longer sees the option of peacefully advocating for Omnics’ rights. Originally a war machine, Ramattra traded his munitions for a shield to protect his people, Blizzard writes. Ramattra’s story is one of hardship, trauma, and a magnified view of humanity’s harsh realities.” IGN’s media roundtable with Overwatch 2 hero designer Alec Dawson revealed Ramattra will have two forms players can switch between.
“He’s got two forms. There’s an Omnic form and a Nemesis form. Part of the skill is to switch between them. Because in Omnic form, you’re playing pokemon, protecting your team from range, a little bit. In Nemesis form, you’re running down the enemies, charging in there, and throwing punches..” Along with Sojourn, Junker Queen, and Kiriko, Ramattra is Overwatch 2’s fourth new hero. Blizzard says they’ll release a new map or hero every season. In the meantime, players are still waiting for the narrative-driven PvE mode in Overwatch 2.
