The UK government is asking the public for its views on Xbox’s proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard, as it prepares to wrap up its investigation. The Competition and Market Authority (CMA) has now published its Issues Statement of the ongoing investigation, so anyone can weigh in, including the public.
The CMA has completed the first two phases of its investigation into Xbox’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard. Microsoft began looking into the deal in July to see if it could hurt competition and consumers. The CMA will then consider the evidence submitted before publishing its provisional findings ahead of its final report, which could still be months away. Responding to concerns raised, Microsoft basically said PlayStation is too big to fail.
