Here’s how to find and use your double XP tokens for Modern Warfare 2
Modern Warfare 2’s double XP events are always great for leveling up, and although we don’t know when the first one is, we’re expecting it soon. Also, we’ve got details on finding and activating your double XP tokens from Modern Warfare 2, since they’re a different menu location than Modern Warfare 2.
Obviously, these types of events and those tokens help you earn XP faster in Modern Warfare 2, and there are lots of reasons why you’d want to do that. With it, you can customize your loadout with new weapons, upgrades, perks, and killstreaks. As you earn more experience, you’ll be able to unlock more Modern Warfare 2 weapon tuning options for the various attachments. From tokens to upcoming events, Modern Warfare 2 is getting double XP.
When’s the next double XP event for Modern Warfare 2?
It’s too early to tell when the first Modern Warfare 2 double XP event will happen, but we’ll find out soon. New players get double XP for two weeks after launch in previous COD games, like Vanguard. Hopefully we’ll see a double XP event around November 12 for Modern Warfare 2, but Activision needs to fix the Modern Warfare 2 servers first so players don’t get stuck looking at error codes instead of earning their bonuses.
Double XP tokens in Modern Warfare 2: where to find them and how to use them
Buying the Vault Edition or completing campaign missions will get you double XP tokens in Modern Warfare 2. In addition to earning tokens through certain food and drink promotions, you’ll unlock more levels once the Modern Warfare 2 Battle Pass launches.
The XP Tokens button will be next to the big yellow Start button when you select a multiplayer mode. The side panel will show you your Double Weapon XP and Double XP tokens as you can see above. Select one, but remember it counts down in real-time, not in-game, so make sure you’re ready to play as soon as you can.
