New UI revealed in Apex Legends Season 15 patch notes, but no changes to legends

No legend buffs or nerfs in today’s update, just gameplay tweaks.

Developer Respawn Entertainment has shared the patch notes for Apex Legends Season 15: Eclipse on the official EA website. Many of the changes aren’t shocking–the notes talk about Broken Moon, as well as World’s Edge and Olympus, which will be in rotation this season. Storm Point and Kings Canyon won’t be available in standard battle royale mode for the first half of the season, at least.

One of the most surprising things about the Season 15 patch notes isn’t what they have–it’s what they don’t have: Any legend buffs or nerfs. It’s surprising how short the patch notes are for a game that has 23 playable legends (including Season 15’s newest addition, Catalyst). The weapons, however, are getting a makeover, unlike the legends.

The Weapons

In its place will be the RE-45 with Disruptor Rounds hop-up, replacing the Mastiff from the Supply Drop. In the Replicator, the P2020 and Havoc will be replaced by the Spitfire and Peacekeeper. The gold weapons this season are the R-301, 30-30 Repeater, Devotion, EVA-8, and Prowler.

Hop-ups are also getting some changes. There’s no longer a Kinetic Feeder, Hammerpoint Rounds, or Boosted Loader hop-up in the loot pool, only the Anvil Receiver. When equipped, the Turbocharger reduces damage by 1. In burst-fire mode, the Double-Tap Trigger helps reduce recoil on a G7 Scout. It’s now Legendary.

When you loot the Rampage from a Supply Drop, it’ll come fully charged. Both it and the Sentinel can now recharge before they run out of power.

Damage on RE-45 has been increased from 12 to 14, and Disruptor Rounds now boost shield damage by 30%. The initial recoil on the L-STAR has been reduced, while the Volt SMG has had its projectile speed and gravity reduced (meaning increased projectile drop).

New features: Gifting, stickers, and a new interface

There’s also an improved UI in the patch notes, which is a welcome surprise. Players won’t have to scroll for 20 seconds to find the gun charm they just unlocked, according to the notes. In addition, the new season will add a gifting system and a new cosmetic type: stickers. You can apply them to healing items to give them a little flair. Also, cross-progression won’t be available this season, according to Respawn. You’ll also be able to play as any legend you want in the Firing Range this season, even if you haven’t unlocked them yet. It should make it easier for you to decide who you want to spend your Legend Tokens on.

Check out the patch notes below to see what changes you can expect to see this season. Make sure you grab your Apex Coins so you’re ready to buy the new battle pass when Apex Legends Season 15: Eclipse goes live tomorrow, November 1, at 10AM PT / 1PM ET.
