A mystery Pokemon has been revealed as Bellibolt, the elefrog Pokemon of Scarlet and Violet gym leader Iono.
Paldea’s electric-type leader, Iono, was introduced earlier this week. Larger than life, Iono, who appears to stream part-time, played a game of ‘who’s that Pokemon’, offering a few hints about their opponent. They pointed to a cute but sluggish creature that generated electricity by expanding and contracting its stomach.
Electricity is discharged from amphibian bumps on its head, resembling eyeballs in disguise.
Even though Bellibolt is amphibious, it is a pure electric type, ignoring potential ground or water secondary types. It looks like it can use its mass for normal and fighting moves and sound-based moves like Belly Drum in another trailer.
Although we learned a lot about Iono’s partner, the leader remains a mystery. It is possible that the streamer is a Vtuber, with Penny as their alter ego.
