How Do Mods Work In Sims 4?
A mod can change gameplay in a small way, like speeding up your Sim’s homework, or in a big way, like allowing realistic birth scenarios. These three things are all you need to do to use mods:
-
Be sure the mod you’re downloading is UPDATED and matches the latest Sims 4 version
-
You can put .script files in your main mods folder, but not .packages.
-
Make sure you allow mods and custom content in your game settings
There are some people who like to add mods that make it more realistic. They’ll change gameplay if you want to smoke, go to the dentist, take out loans, and ask your parents about dating. Some people just want better gameplay. They use mods to remove clutter from social interactions or have UI cheats that let you raise your skill levels and fill your needs. Whatever you do, make sure the mod is up to date and not broken.
