Treyarch’s Call of Duty Black Ops is the fourth game in the series. Call of Duty 2: Big Red One, Call of Duty 3 and Call of Duty: World at War are the previous Call of Duty games from Treyarch. Activision markets the game developed by Treyarch.
First-person shooter games can also be played in multiplayer modes; however, the details of the multiplayer mode are unclear. There will be a return of vehicles and dedicated servers for the PC version of the multiplayer mode. As well as the usual perks, “create a class 2.0” allows for increased customization.
In an official blog post, Treyarch’s lead designer confirmed that “killstreaks” would carry over after a character dies. TNW (tactical nuclear weapons) and game-ending killstreak rewards have been banned. Treyarch’s official game release trailer specifies that the Xbox 360 version must be purchased separately from the game. The game can be played on Microsoft PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, and Nintendo DS.
As marketing teasers, Treyarch released two Black Ops trailers. The Uncut Release Trailer and the Debut Teaser Trailer. A story line for the game can only be found in these two trailers. According to the trailers, the game is primarily set during the Cold War.
Let’s move on to the actual Call of Duty Black Ops game. Based on what is visible, the game is going to be a turbulence of violent forces and extreme war action. It has several never-before-seen features.
Treyarch, for example, uses motion capture technology similar to Avatar, which allows characters to express themselves accurately. In the trailers, attack helicopters, specifically the SR 71 blackbird, are extensively used. A scoped crossbow and dragon’s breath shotgun rounds have been added to this highly anticipated first person shooter.
