An overview of Street Fighter’s history

The Street Fighter series is a well-known fighting game in Japan. During the game, martial art masters from around the world compete against each other with their fighting style. The first sequences game was released by Capcom in August 1987. From 1987 to 2010, there are seven games in the series. Among the games are Street Fighter (1987), II Series (1991-1999), Alpha Series (1995-1998), EX Series (1996-2001), III Series (1997-1999), Versus Series (1996-2003, 2008-2011), IV Series (2008, 2010).

 

 

In 1994, Group TAC produced the animation movie of this game. Manga Entertainment produced the home video in 1996 with English subtitles. Group TAC produced an animation TV series for Fuji TV in 1995 and a two-episode OVA series in 1999. Manga Entertainment also adapted both productions into English.

 

 

In 1994, an American production produced a movie starring Jean-Claude Van Damme as Guile. Hyde Park Entertainment and Capcom filmed Chun-Li in February 2009. Studio 4°C released The IV series: Arata naru Kizuna in 2009. The DVD included a bonus disc for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

 

 

Street Fighter also has comic books, manga, US comics, and Brazilian comics. In 1994, White Wolf released a role playing game based on the series. Many of the game mechanics from World of Darkness were used in the system. CryptoLogic, an Irish software company, also released an online slot game
