Retro Video Games

The popularity of video games has increased immensely over the last three decades. It is one of the best ways to enjoy time with loved ones or friends. Video game popularity was not always visible. Designs for video games have been revolutionized over the years. Hardcore gamers and casual gamers consider a few games classics.

At a time when graphics and animation were poor, gamers were only attracted by the great gameplay these classic games offered. Video games of that era used 8-bit or 16-bit microchips. Commodore 64, ZX81 ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo, and Sega Genesis/Megadrive games were included. Atari, Sega, and Williams Electronics created some classic arcade games. Video game designs of the past were simpler and less complicated than today. Eugene Jarvis, Dave Theurer, Jeff Minter, Tony Crowther, and Andrew Braybrook were credited with these games. Emulation is usually used to play classic video games. As emulation uses illegally copied software, it usually attracts controversy. Game sequences and storylines are modified in some classic video games.

Online websites sell classic video games. A fixed sum of money needs to be paid before they can be downloaded. Retro gaming is also known as classic video gaming.
