Online Pokemon Trading Card Game Deck Completion Guide

Originally, Pokemon was a game boy game where a boy had to capture and tame 150 different Pokemon. It involves raising and collecting Pokemon and battling them against rival collectors. Card games based on the hit video games for the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS are called Pokemon.

How does the Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) work?

Pokemon Trading Card Game is a Role Playing Game similar to Magic the Gathering in which you use your cards (each card represents a Pokemon creature) to defeat a rival Pokemon trainer (player). Due to their rarity and effectiveness in the game, certain cards have become very valuable.

How do “Starter Decks”, “Theme Decks” and “Booster Packs” differ?

There are enough cards in the Starter Deck for two players to get started with the card game. A Theme Deck is a single player deck that contains more powerful cards (aka Pokemon) and provides more strategic moves for the player. Each booster pack contains 11 cards that can be used to make one’s deck more powerful by adding rare cards.

Each Starter deck is identical, while Theme Decks provide some variety, and Booster packs provide powerful collectible cards. In order to find a rare Pokemon card for their own deck, some players will buy multiple Booster decks. An 11-card booster pack contains one “rare” or “holofoil” card, three “uncommons,” and seven “commons.”

If you are new to the game, you should first purchase a Starter Deck and then a Theme Deck of your choice. For beginners, each game comes with a rulebook. Start by purchasing booster packs or finding your desired Pokemon card on online auction websites like Ebay once you’ve mastered the basics.

Are there “Pokemon Card Pricing Guides?”

In a company called Pojo, you can find a nice pricing guide for Pokemon cards. The price of Pokemon cards does not fluctuate too much in general.

It’s all about striking gold

The rarer cards can be found online if you search for “Holo” cards or Pokemon cards encased in holographic foil. By searching for your deck’s name in auction searches, you can complete your theme deck. In addition, you can search websites for the exact card you need to complete your deck. In order to be versatile in playing your opponents, make sure your deck is balanced as much as possible.
