Often, gamers have problems with their gaming PC overheating. Several things might be causing that, like overclocking, bad cooling, and cheap fans. There’s no need to worry. These are some tips and accessories you can use to keep your gaming PC cool during long gaming sessions.
1) Clean Your Computer
As the temperature inside the CPU changes, the fan adjusts the speed accordingly. Oftentimes, dust gets accumulated inside or near the fan, resulting in slow speed or even damage. To make sure your CPU fan works right, clean your computer once a month.
2) Upgrade Your CPU Case Fan
Your gaming computer’s processor is the most expensive and sensitive part. Games like CS Go use a lot of resources. Most high-end gamers recommend high-quality case fans. In comparison to optimized case fans by brands like Noctua, the factory installed case fan doesn’t provide enough cooling when playing high-end games. Therefore, high-quality case fans are essential.
3) Stop Overclocking
Pushing your computer components past their performance limits. As a result, Overclocking occurs, which leads to a slower CPU if you do it for a long time. In other words, don’t overclock your CPU if you want long hours of gaming.
4) Power Supply Replacement
Your computer power supply has a big fan. You can feel your hand getting hot behind your computer. Gaming PCs cannot get rid of heat except by using a case fan. If your power supply fan fails, overheating can occur. In such conditions, I’d recommend replacing the PSU fan.
5) Install a CPU Water Cooling System
The CPU generates so much heat on high-end gaming PCs that a high-quality case fan isn’t enough to keep it cool. For this reason, you’ll need water cooling. You don’t have to worry about “Water in Computers” since the water is enclosed. Using this pump, computer parts are cooled in cycles. Most interestingly, you don’t have to be a pro to install it.
6) Install a Phase Change Unit
In order to understand the concept of phase change unit more clearly, you can think of it in terms of how a refrigerator works. In addition to cooling the overheated CPU, this cooler also operates on the same technology as refrigerators to keep it cool.
That’s all from me. Hopefully this article will help you cool down your gaming PC. Please do comment if you have any suggestions or advice, I’d love to hear from you.
