One of the village people has fallen ill, I need a Wyvern Egg to cure them. Please sneak into a nest and get an egg for me!
This is a carrying-type Gathering Quest. Most hunters hate them since they are the most annoying type of quests available in-game. However, this quest is very easy to do, thus you won’t have any problem completing it.
All you have to do is go into the nest in Area 5. Hopefully Rathalos won’t be in there. You may not even have to see the Rathalos if done fast enough. If you do, you should paintball it and wait for it to stay out of your way. If you do this, you can also keep track of its movement on the map.
Once you enter the nest, take care of the Velocipreys that you find there. This is to ensure a nice, clean path to run through after you got the egg.
When you get an egg from the nest, you’ll run at half speed. Because of this, you’ll want to max your stamina out with the rations or a Well-Done Steak. While you are carrying it you cannot drop it or it will break. If you get hit, you will drop it. If you draw your weapon or run out of stamina, you will drop it.
Once you get out, the Vespoid will try to come after you. If it hits you, the egg will break. Jump down onto the lower hill and then onto the ground. Do not jump from the top down to the bottom or else the egg will break! If the egg is broken, you’ll have to go back to the nest and get another egg. You have to take the egg from Area 5 and bring it back to Camp.
Leave Area 4, head into Area 10. There are only Felynes in this area and they are incredibly easy to dodge. You can move easily to Area 8 from here. Once in Area 8, you will encounter Mosswines here, so you won’t have problem passing through. Proceed to Area 1 and back to camp.
Bring the Wyvern Egg back to camp and drop it in the red supply box.
